Sri Lanka stocks lower at close of trade; CSE All-Share down 0.02%



Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in theHealthcarePalm Oil and Trading sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share lost 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Colombo City Holdings PLC (CM:PHAR), which rose 18.36% or 114.80 points to trade at 740.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Lanka Ceramic PLC (CM:CERA) added 12.24% or 15.70 points to end at 144.00 and Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI) was up 11.12% or 150.10 points to 1499.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO), which fell 24.84% or 471.90 points to trade at 1428.00 at the close. Shalimar Estates (CM:SHAL) declined 20.88% or 475.00 points to end at 1800.00 and Standard Capital PLC (CM:SING) was down 20.00% or 18.00 points to 72.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 107 to 91 and 39 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.18% or 0.08 to $45.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.45% or 0.21 to hit $46.87 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.51% or 6.85 to trade at $1325.45 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.16% to 191.340, while USD/LKR rose 0.38% to 146.055.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 97.13.
