Sri Lanka stocks lower at close of trade; CSE All-Share down 0.07%
Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the, and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the declined 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the were Paragon Ceylon PLC (CM:), which rose 24.51% or 12.50 points to trade at 63.50 at the close. Meanwhile,Tangerine Beach Hotels PLC (CM:) added 15.97% or 9.90 points to end at 71.90 and F L C Holdings PLC (CM:) was up 8.33% or 0.100 points to 1.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Colombo Fort Investments PLC (CM:), which fell 17.78% or 16.00 points to trade at 74.00 at the close. Asia Capital PLC (CM:) declined 16.15% or 2.10 points to end at 10.90 and Ceylon Tea Services PLC (CM:) was down 12.55% or 104.00 points to 725.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 93 to 93 and 61 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.50% or 0.23 to $45.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.48% or 0.23 to hit $48.58 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.74% or 9.95 to trade at $1357.45 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.30% to 187.080, while USD/LKR fell 0.09% to 145.260.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.86% at 94.76.
