Sri Lanka stocks lower at close of trade; CSE All-Share down 0.47%
Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Plantations, Palm Oil and Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 100.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.2000 at the close. Meanwhile, Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) added 11.11% or 0.100 points to end at 1.000 and Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) was up 9.09% or 0.100 points to 1.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Madulsima Plantations PLC (CM:MADU), which fell 24.87% or 4.70 points to trade at 14.20 at the close. Udapussellawa Plantations PLC (CM:UDPL) declined 14.95% or 7.70 points to end at 43.80 and Balangoda Plantations PLC (CM:BALA) was down 14.17% or 5.10 points to 30.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 91 to 67 and 51 ended unchanged.
GBP/LKR was up 0.01% to 201.050, while USD/LKR rose 0.16% to 153.610.
