Sri Lanka stocks lower at close of trade CSE All-Share down 0.48%



Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Stores & Supplies, Construction & Engineering and Diversified Holdings sectors led shares lower

At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.48% to hit a new 1-month low

The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Samson International PLC (CM:SIL), which rose 17.16% or 13.90 points to trade at 94.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 0.800 and Associated Motor Finance Company PLC (CM:ASSO) was up 12.50% or 50.00 points to 450.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which fell 33.33% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Ceylon Tea Services PLC (CM:CTEA) declined 12.32% or 75.20 points to end at 535.00 and Chemanex PLC (CM:CHMX) was down 11.52% or 7.20 points to 55.30.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 110 to 83 and 54 ended unchanged.

GBP/LKR was down 0.08% to 219.025, while USD/LKR fell 0.01% to 156.100.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 89.63
